Should you Drive or Fly this Christmas
I know most of you are not ready to start thinking about
your Thanksgiving or Christmas travel plans, but with the high cost of fuel and
the rising cost of just about everything else, this year it is more important
than ever.
The decision to fly or to drive is more in play than ever
before, if you are dead set on driving than you are locked in to wherever fuel
prices end up. If you are willing to consider flying despite the hassles of the
airport you may be able to lock in a great deal if you are quick to act.
Airfares are also on the rise and are sure to sky rocket as
we get closer to the Christmas travel season, but the earlier you buy your tickets
the better deal you will get. Another thing you will need to consider is which
day of the week you are going to travel, be flexible you will be able to get
better prices on certain days of the week so don’t only shop around for
airlines, shop around on different days also.
Depending on the distance you intend to travel this year
flying could be much less expensive than driving if you act soon enough.
