Cruise Destinations - The World Is Your Oyster

September 3rd, 2007

Deciding which cruises to take is the hardest decision to make. Hawaii, Bahamas, Caribbean or even Alaska. You can see Europe on a cruise or many other countries, where every few days there is a new destination to explore.

When you plan your cruises you will see all the different ports you can visit for the day and that can be a big deciding factor for some people.

Have you ever wanted to visit Hawaii? Of course you have, I mean who hasn’t?

A cruise to Hawaii give you the chance to visit all the islands, you don’t pay for a hotel and it turns a normally expensive vacation into a vacation that can fit all budgets.

1) Pack For Your Cruise Wisely

July 31st, 2007

Cruise planning is the vital component in the steps you take to have a suitable cruise vacation.

Getting this right means that you can lie back and enjoy, safe in the knowledge that everything is in place for a perfect time.

Cruises usually go where it’s hot! The cruise lines are pretty savvy people and know, unless you are a bit of a masochist, that you’d like warmth by the ocean as you cruise.

That said, there are often cruises in the Northern Hemisphere that travel to cooler locations, like Alaska or the Baltic states, where warmth is not such an issue (on the contrary!), though reflected sunlight might still be.

As far as other cruise planning goes, you will need to consider what you might need for a prolonged spell away from the basics. There are no supermarkets on an ocean liner (though there are shops for most things you might need, it’s usually the one thing you forgot that you can’t get hold of!).

Apart from the weather, clothing needs additional consideration, especially when it comes to dining. Depending on the cruise, you might need a stack of different exotic frocks to show off. If you are a man it can often be the one tux, so don’t feel left out. Your partner will just have spent a bit more, that’s all!

Hawaiian Cruising Fun - Watch the Sun

July 31st, 2007

While the weather is on our minds, it’s worth remembering that the sun is much more intense whilst at sea and cool breezes can mislead you on temperature, so, as part of your cruise planning, take high factor sun protection.

This is much more critical if you are vacationing with small children. They will feel the heat and suffer the conditions of the sun a lot more than grown ups (though they need to take care too).

By making sure that you take adequate clothing and sun protection, you will make sure that you have a happy vacation and all get by to tell the tale.

The sun will also mean that your system is more suceptible to those unfortunate tummy illnesses that can often beset vacations, so an adequate supply of fluid might be necessary. Of course you will be able to find this on the ship, but you may need to take maybe even specialized fluid replacement salts.

Making the best use of your time is important to you, especially when you have a lot of things to do. So making sure that the cruise planning you do is worthwhile and making your life easier, as you organize your dream cruise is vital. This will ensure that you get the best vacation that you will remember for years to come.

Considerations When Booking A Cruise ? Part III

July 15th, 2007

When considering when to consider booking a cruise, here are a few specifics that can guide your planning.

Trips to Bermuda are popular for a number of reasons. It’s a great island to visit and the trip from Florida is short, making for a great two or three day cruise. As a result, prime cabins in the summer months of July and August will sell out six to nine months in advance.

But, fortunately for cruise-goers, the weather in April-May and September-October can also be great. Those off-peak months give travelers many more options but keep in mind that hurricanes, or at least heavy storms, can affect travel near the end of October. Be prepared to be flexible.

Cruises from New York (and other points) to Europe are still some of the best cruises to take even 100 years after they first began. Cruise lines have responded by offering more trips but demand still presses on supply, keeping the price high.
