It is true that there are people who love the snow and the various winter sports associated with it, but there are perhaps even more individuals who really enjoy the warmth of the summertime and the ability to wear shorts and swimming suits. If you and your spouse or romantic partner are both sun lovers, then you may want to consider a romantic beach getaway to escape to and spend some quiet time together. There are lots of places and vacation spots that romantic couples can visit to enjoyt some alone time. If there is a beach nearby, then there is an opportunity for a romantic beach getaway. Perhaps you have never been to the tropical waters of the Bahamas. They are famous for more than just their great fishing. Perhaps a Hawaiian romantic getaway appeals to you. What about the Florida Keys? Can you pass up the chance to taste a slice of authentic Key Lime pie while lying in the sun of the Florida Keys?

When Americans think of a European beach paradise, the Mediterranean coast of France is likely to come to mind. But Europeans have long known that some of the best beaches in the world are to be found in sunny Spain.

Look at the maps, respectively, of Spain and France. While both of them have a generous amount of coastline, Spain is almost surrounded by water. Plus, it’s farther south, and therefore it’s beaches, on average, are warmer and can be enjoyed for a longer period of time through the year.

Don’t forget the Spanish islands, either: the Balearics, Mallorca and the Canaries. During the high season the beaches and lively beach towns of these islands are packed with visitors, most of them Europeans. No visit to Spain is complete without a jaunt to one or more of these wave-kissed jewels.

Spain is noted for its great museums, the medieval architecture still to be found throughout the country, and its vibrant modern cities such as Barcelona. As wonderful as these are, and all well worth seeing, it would be a shame to overlook the gorgeous Spanish beaches.
