What to Include in Your Fiji Package Holiday

August 23rd, 2007

Fiji is one of my favorite holiday destinations. I just love the relaxed attitude of the locals. They are always friendly and have a big smile to greet you. Apart from the friendly locals Fiji has many wonderful attractions to visit. There are too many to be able to see them all.

When you visit a travel agent to arrange your next holiday you should try to package some attractions along with your accommodation, meals and flights. The Fiji package holiday option is what worked best for my family and I last time we visited Fiji.

Some attractions I can personally recommend include a cruise among the Mamanuca Islands. Over thirty tiny islands make up this island chain located a short cruise off Nadi. My favorite amongst the islands was the Beachcomber. It has great facilities for either a day trip or several nights.

If your budget allows get a different look at the Mamanuca Islands by taking a helicopter ride above the islands. You will enjoy your bird’s eye view of the islands. Try to visit in May and December to enjoy the treat of seeing waterfalls running to the sea.

Snorkeling is another must do attraction. That is if you are not scared to give it a go. As hard as I tried my wife just could not get the hang of wearing a mask. She missed out on a spectacular underwater world seen as you drift in the crystal clear warm South Pacific waters. The Fiji package holiday I took advantage of included free snorkeling at the resort we spent 7 nights.

Holiday Insurance

August 19th, 2007

Holiday insurance is also known to some as travel insurance, which is a policy every vacationer should seriously consider taking and include into their travel budget. Having holiday insurance cover will protect you against emergencies and travel delays such as unanticipated illness, injury or death, loss or theft of luggage and personal possessions as well as flight or trip interruptions, including cancellation. These events can cost you a small fortune if you do not take out a policy that provides insurance to meet any financial expenses that may arise unexpectedly during your vacation. Having a holiday insurance gives you the peace of mind, should anything happen help is at hand so you can concentrate on enjoying your vacation.

It is quite an easy process to arrange for holiday insurance ? typically you can take one out just before you embark on your journey, covering you for the duration of your vacation, or if you think you may be extending your vacation, find a product that allows you to get continuous comprehensive coverage.

Most travel agents and insurance companies do provide holiday insurance packages that are tailored to suit different levels of requirements. Cheap holiday insurance is easy to purchase online and the added bonus is that you can compare different quotes online very quickly to find the best package that suits your needs.

For those who travel extensively, holiday insurance is an essential expenditure. There is a wide variety of packages for the different types of holidaymakers including backpacker travel insurance, discounted annual cover, ski or snowboarding holiday insurance plans as well as just the one off single trips, catering to single or ad-hoc journeys. The backpacker package is particularly useful for those who are travelling to Europe, taking an extended holiday overseas or gap year students as some products provide cover valid for up to a year irrespective of what the person does during that period. Some holiday insurance for backpackers even covers temporary holiday jobs such as fruit-picking on a farm or bartending work. Ski or snowboarding holiday insurance plans cover you against any threats or danger while skiing and mountain rescue operations by helicopter or air ambulance.

Familiar yourself with the claim procedures and the keep important numbers such as your holiday insurer’s contact number, along with your membership reference code close to hand. Be sure to disclose any pre-existing medical conditions to the holiday insurer as failure to do so may invalidate your claims. It is quite probable that an old illness may flare up during your vacation or journey, some policy does not cover this but others, for a fee, will cover a sudden or unexpected recurrence of a pre-existing illness.

Cruises: Can You Make Sense of the Options

August 19th, 2007

When to Go - Again, the short answer is anytime. Cruises are offered by various cruise lines year-around. However, there’s more to think about. When will it be most relaxing? When can you afford to make your cruise everything it can be? Basically, when will it be most enjoyable? Popular times to take a cruise include during winter vacation, spring vacation, or the summer.

What Cruise Line to Go On - Finally, you just need to decide which cruise line you want to use. Some might not travel to the location you want to go, so that will be the first step in narrowing down your choices. Others might cater to families, couples, or singles. If you’re taking a family on a cruise, you should definitely avoid using a cruise line that attracts singles. Some might offer amenities that you definitely want to take advantage of, others might offer amenities that you really don’t want to pay for. Once you’ve established where to go, when to go, and what cruise line to go on, the decision won’t be too difficult to make.

Fiji Package Holidays

August 9th, 2007

If you are thinking of a vacation you should consider Fiji. This South Pacific destination has many beautiful islands and beaches all with a tropical feel. There is nothing better than relaxing on the beach looking out at the inviting blue ocean. When you get in the mood you can slip on the flippers and snorkel and join the thousands of tropical fish swimming in the crystal clear waters.

You have many choices for accommodation. From backpacker bungalows all the way to luxurious surrounds good enough for the Hollywood A-list. One of my favourite holiday spots in Fiji is the Shangri-La Fijian resort. This top class resort is one hour from Nadi on the Coral Coast. It boasts its own golf course and tennis courts. It also has several pools to help you relax.

My family and I took advantage of the savings found by booking a Fiji package holiday. We saved close to a thousand dollars altogether. The only bad thing was that we did not stay for long enough. I highly recommend a holiday in this tropical paradise known as Fiji.
